This crucifix is based on the 14th century Orcagnesque Misericordia Crucifix from Florence.
Depicted around the crucified Christ are (from the top) St. Francis of Assisi, St. John the Evangelist, St. Anthony of Padua and Our Lady of Sorrows.
This standing crucifix is cast in a resin and stone composition and hand-painted in vibrant, jewel tone colors by the artists of Joseph Studios. This lovely Ognissanti Standing Crucifix is a representation of the crucifix that hangs in the nave of the Chiesa di Ognissanti, a Franciscan church in Florence Italy.
