Looking for a way to encourage a loved one going through a time of suffering, especially grief? Pray a novena asking Our Lady of Sorrows to intercede for them and their intentions, and then send them this Novena Card to let them know you have prayed for them.
About the Design:
The watercolor portrait on this card is of Our Lady of Sorrows, a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary as it relates to the suffering she endured as mother of Jesus. A sword pierces her heart, after Simeon’s prophecy “And you yourself a sword will pierce” (Luke 2:35). The inside artwork includes her heart with seven swords, each representing one of the traditional “Seven Sorrows” she endured, and an encouraging quote from St. John Paul II.
